ABOUT US
About Our Organization
The Beaver Dam Youth Baseball and Softball (BDYBS) organization provides quality team based activities for young athletes of all skill levels in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The number of players vary from year to year, but it is typical to have about 550 children from roughly 400 families to participate in the program. The program is run on an all volunteer system which benefits the organization from the commitment and talent of parents and caring individuals within our community. All volunteers must complete a yearly background check prior to volunteering with the organization. In addition, the program has maintained success by the loyal support of area businesses and partners as we strive to provide a quality program.
Our offered leagues include a City Recreation League and a Travel League.
The City Recreation League is mostly in town games during the week. These leagues are from Tee Ball to age 14. In addition to weekly games, teams generally practice one night per week.
Travel League is a competitive league offering teams that travel to tournaments throughout the state during the months of May, June, and July. Tryouts for the following summer are generally held in August of the previous year. Teams are offered at ages 8U to 14U. All travel players must also participate in the city recreational league.
In addition, we offer a recreational girls softball program for girls of all skill levels ages 5 - 16. Games are played in Beaver Dam with some age levels also playing in surrounding communities. The league generally runs from May until early August.
